The mattress has 28 rows and 12 columns of a metallic fiber. The microcontroller is then measuring every point where a column and a row crosses and saves the measurements. The microcontroller then analyzes them so it can calculate the average pressure, momentary pressure and if the person is in danger of developing bedsores. It then visualizes the results on a color touch screen with easy controls and navigation. The project is still under development and we are currently developing prototype number 3
